Grask Tarvo

From Star Wars Saturdays

Grask Tarvo is a Weequay who has seen his share of trouble, and has fought for the Republic on multiple occassions. He's a pilot, and he's rather good at cutting deals, especially with quartermasters and their ilk. Despite his gruff demeanor, constant complaints and proclaimed selfishness, he isn't a cold-hearted opportunist who's only out for himself. Not exactly an altruist or hero, but not a coward or total bastard either.

History

Grask Tarvo was born on Sriluur, but his family escaped slavery and settled on Florem for a while. Eventually, they didn't really care for being pirates and became space nomads. Young Grask signed up with the Republic as a pilot during the Clone Wars and served with various generals, but after the Jedi fell, he very quickly got drummed out of the service. He tried to make a living as an honest trader, but was framed by some Imperial officials who needed to fill their pirate-busting quota - and what better scapegoat than a Weequay?

Grask spent some time in an Imperial prison, and later joined the Unbound, a guild of mercenaries, bounty hunters, and smugglers.

Near the end of the Galactic Civil War, Grask was trying to hide from Alliance authorities and ended up in a recruitment office. He signed up and was transferred to a rather ramshackle unit of non-human pilots flying attacks for the alliance. He participated in the Battle of Sullust, survived, and got a medal.

Afterwards, he resigned from service, and never wanted to go back again. But, later, again trying to avoid legal troubles, he was drawn back into the Republican Army, this time as an infantry private an Lavisar. He survived that as well, and right now is trying to get out of the army again.
