The Lost Years[edit]

Janela's first chronological appearance was as a slave to Lyata the Hutt on the planet of Jakku, alongside her pet Lothcat, Tiki. Janela searched desperately for those that might help her escape slavery, finding potential allies in H'ares Den, a charlatan & the man in charge of The Source, an area of clean water, as well as Jocasta, a force sensitive woman that always did her best to protect and aide Janela.

Through her time, and the actions of Lyata, even more turned up to help her escape ehr slavery, Garvin, a duros woman, helpig disable her explosive collar, but it was a shock, when the Mandalorian Dathi Stul, a mercenary working for Lyata purchased Janela's freedom, during his employers negotiations with her rival, the bothan mafioso, Pon An'Sei. Now free, she and Jocasta sought allies, in helping to find a hip so they could escape the wretched planet.

Hunting the Wicked[edit]

After her escape from Jakku, Janela apprenticed under a bounty hunter, and learned she had remarkable skill as a Sharpshooter. Eventually she set up a home base on Spaceport Trident Vespa, and worked alongside the Ottegan Zuto, & the Bothan Kai Sei'Lya. She had a close relationship with the Twi'Lek that worked at the Cantina, [[Alema'Amersu], who Janela helped escape her own bounty, because Alema was also a former slave on the run.

Bounties she helped collect:

From Rebel to Crime Lord[edit]

Star Wars World: Tatooine Sometime after giving up Bounty hunting, she and Alema'Amersu left Trident Vespa, and joined up with the Rebellion. Janela had made quite a repuation as a burgeoning holovid star, so she had resourced the Rebellion could use, and was all too eager to assist on a mission to Tattooine. She worked alongside the Jedi human Sham Das, the chiss smuggler Rook, the droid trooper OB-8B, the Trandoshan Operative Slyhk Jhegh (and former lover). together the group, with some help was able to overthrow the crime lord Kzodjut, who had taken over after the death of Jabba. What people did not expect was Janela to assume his position, and become the new crime lord on Tattooine!

First taste of the Force[edit]

Janela later appeared as a player character in the August 2019 sessions of Apocalypse World Tatooine. In the AW game, Janela was created as a Skinner. During the sessions, which happened after Jabba the Hutt was killed by Princess Leia, Lieutenant Marelia Muckwill showed up in Mos Shuuta with four stormtrooper squads looking for a rebel supplier and sympathizer. Through a series of events triggered by Janela, Tella, one of Janela's old lovers, was able to murder Muckwill with the help of Sergeant Grome, one of Muckwill's subordinates who'd fallen in love with Janela. During the aftermath, Muckwill's four stormtrooper squads dissolved into two big gangs to try and control the town.

After Tella escaped Mos Shuuta on a speeder bike piloted by Tebii the Lepi, Janela schemed with Teemo the Hutt's majordomo Zabrir Bis to retake Mos Shuuta and drive the gangs away.

Return to Bounty Hunting[edit]

Later on Janela was later seen resuming Bounty operations, infiltrating a Star Destroyer to help pull off a heist. She pulled off the heist with a pair of clones, Quake (CG-5713), & Arc (ARC-427), as well as the Mon Calamari Oligo Nemolgruk.

Hearts of the Force[edit]

Janela recently made a big break as a Holovid Star, when starring in the popular but short lived series Hearts of The Force, in which she portrayed the "Not a Jedi" Zeltron force user, Kelissa Nyle. The show was wildly popular, though, envisioned as New Republic propaganda by Princess Leia, she was displeased with the final result, of the show doing nothing to help promote the Jedi Order, and the messages put forth by the actors, that seemed to take over the writers room.

GMAC Masters[edit]

At some point Janela was seen working for GMAC MAsters as a Ring Announcer and Backstage Interviewer, alongside several actors from the popular Holovid series ((Hearts of the Force))

Return to Jakku[edit]

Some time later, after fleeing from, Zabrir Bis, ]who she claims is being possessed by the ancient Sith Ghost Gravid, Janela ended up crashing on Jakku, meeting up with her fellow cast mate from Hearts of the Force, Zlaas Immur. The pair worked together to trap Priestess Ferix, a Grindalid crime boss in charge of the nearby water, in an attempt to please Grolin the Hutt, an obsessed fan of Janela's, who was actually responsible for her crashing on Jakku, so he could 'rescue' her and add her to his collection.

It was during their time together that Zlaas Immur learned of Janela's strong connection to the force, and her previous possession by Gravid, and how Janela, deep down, secretly longs to wield power like that again. During this time Janela, fed up with the manipulations, and recalling on her own past as a slave to those like the Hutts, took control of the Force, manipulating Grolin the Hutt to obey her. With him under her control She and Zlass made their way to deal with the nearby Imperials, and their commander, Bretsan, soon fell under her sway, desiring her services, and gifting her with a high ranking Imperial Badge, that would entitle her to many a privilege. In the end, her time on Jakku affected her more greatly than she every expected, a vision of Gravid filled her with fear, causing her to run away, and as such she ended up on Nal Shuta, the signs of the Dark Side quite evident upon her features, as she might be in control of Grolin's enterprises.

Fury Squadron[edit]

Sometime after her time in Nal Shutta, Janela found herself signed up to Starfighter Academy and in the Fury Squadron. She was pretty cagey on the reasons for being there, but the Republic seemed to enjoy capitalizing on her 'fame' from her role in the cult classic Hearts of The Force. Her call sign ended up being a callback to her role in that show, "Star Dancer", and it wasn't entirely sure whether or not that was her choice, or a joke someone else made that she thoroughly embraced. She earned a bit of a reputation for always finding a way to board her enemies ships, or stations, and working towards her Squad's objectives through means of manipulation and sabatoge, though this also earned her a few reprimands from the Star Furies Commander.

Despite her hijinks on missions, it was also her carousing and morale building that left impressions on a few of her fellow students, like Crelna ""Cutter" Ruq, and Kass "Veruna" Shaaru, the latter of which dubbed her the morale officer of the squadron.

Janela seemed to be on her way to winning the coveted Darklighter Trophy, if not for on their first actual mission against the remnants of the empire, her A-Wing, suffered damage which triggered her hyperdrive, and she was marked down as MIA.

The Ember[edit]

SWS: Airlock After ending up being labelled as MIA during her final battle alongside Fury Squadron, Janela ended up aimless and looking for work again, which she soon found on The Ember, a totally legitimate salvage operation. While working alongside them, they got word of a find in the asteroid field that was the remnants of Alderaan. After some manipulations and infiltration of the locl mining company, they found the location of their big find, which was the remnants of the palace of Aldraan, within they found lots of things, a map to a rebel hideaway, but notable for Janela, she found a pair of twin lightsabers, that happen to have red blades.

SWoDu[edit]

SWWoDu: playtest weekend For a while, Janela went back to doing some work for the New Republic, smuggling aid to people in Zsinj's Empire.

Burning Hearts Forever[edit]

After another stint of traipsing around the galaxy, Janela ended up back on Spaceport Trident Vespa, where Cere Junda and her students approached her, about studying the ways of the force in her dream of a new Jedi Academy.

Janela, and her force of personality, tried to convince the other students and the space port to stand up to the Imperial remnants.

SWoDu PbtA[edit]

SWoDu PbtA

Once again returining to work for the New Republic Alliance, Janela (callsign Stardancer, even though she's annoyed by it), was picked up along with her crew by the Stardestroyer Subjugator, they promptly enacted a prison break in the holding cells, so they could rescue Walley Blix. She also reunited with Alema'Amersu who promptly tried to kill Janela.

She was yet again betrayed by Alema...but that wasn't as bad as seeing two of her old Fury Squadron classmates Proton & Trash in a crashed Y-Wing. She managed to collect their chain codes to return to the Alliance.

In the end, they escaped the Stardestroyer on a Lambda shuttle, and Alema and Janela agreed to just...be done with each other.

Looks like I'm back again...

Dancing Saarlacc (Starscape)[edit]

Janela was recently rounded up along with the latest ship of smugglers she was working with by the New Republic Rangers. She thought she could outmanuever them, but turns out it was someone that was famiiar with her tricks from her Star Fury Academy days, and she and the rest were processed, and they took away those cool lightsabers she got in less than legitimate salvage. She was allowed early relese and the return of her sabers, if she agreed to work on an undercover mission in Zsinj's Empire aboard the Dancing Saarlacc.
